Fifth graders created a collaborative art piece showing connections between math, visual art, and music. By using arrays to represent music notes from one of their concert songs, students demonstrated their understanding of adding fractions with unlike denominators. Their art is inspired by Kandinsky’s Squares with Concentric Circles and Rollo Dilworth’s Everlasting Melody.
