Eugene Field A+ was recently honored with a nomination for the Helpline Center's Spirit of Volunteerism Award.

"At Eugene Field A+ Elementary School the teachers and staff go beyond telling the students about supporting the community with volunteering. For example, they have Multiple Intelligences (MI) Days where they invite people and organizations from the community to help students explore their multiple intelligences and learn about the needs and how everyone can make a difference. Some of their themes for MI day were Giving Back and Change Makers.

The school also has a great team of teachers that volunteer after school and on weekends for more than three months to create a beautiful musical. Every year they work hard, together with parents and other family members to make costumes, the set and everything else they need for the play. The musical gives the students opportunities to practice working as a team,  practice being in front of people and so much more.
Eugene Field A+ teachers and staff teach students by showing them how to make a difference."
