This past weekend EFA+ presented The Wizard of Oz!

The kindergarten and 5th grade students got to try out their jazz hands and some beginner-friendly jazz dance moves in their second week with guest teacher, Maria Travers. They started their warm-up to a jazz version of “If I Only Had A Brain,” in a nod to their upcoming musical. After practicing some jazz footwork, the 5th graders danced to an upbeat song that put together their budding knowledge of French ballet terms and the joy of partnering up for swing dance!
We have become aware of a scam circulating that appears as if SFSD Child Nutrition Coordinator Gay Anderson is asking people to go out and purchase large dollar amounts of gift cards. Gay has NOT sent out a text or an email. Her communication devices appear to have been hacked. Please delete any communication and do not follow through with the request. We apologize for this inconvenience.

2nd and 3rd graders have been working hard in the Art.
They have been learning about why we have museums, how art and artifacts are displayed in a gallery space, and the job of a curator.
They applied what they learned by creating their own Mini Museum.

The Kindergarten and 5th grade students had a guest teacher for dance last week. Maria Travers is the parent of a third grader at EFA+ and a dancer with the LiRa Dance Theatre Company in Sioux Falls. She led them through an introductory ballet class with warm-ups at the barre, stretching, chassé steps, turns, and leaps.
Kindergarten is doing a Z to A Countdown to celebrate a fabulous year of learning.
Today was “You’ve really grown up day” for the letter "Y".
