🎶 I wish to go to the festival! 🎶 Perhaps you’ve heard an EFA+ student or two singing about going to the festival lately… Well, this time everyone is invited! 🍂 EFA+ Fall Festival + Book Fair 📅 Tomorrow ⏰ 5:30–7:30 PM No need to go Into the Woods, just come to EFA+ for an evening of fall fun, books, and time together with our school community. We’ll see you at the festival!

🎨 Today was our first MI Exchange of the year! Students spent time with their MI Family Groups, creating artist trading cards to introduce themselves and share a little bit of who they are. Each month, MI Exchange brings students together in mixed-grade-level groups, giving them a chance to get to know students and staff they might not otherwise spend time with. Through the arts, these groups build connections that grow throughout the school year. 💙 We loved seeing our MI Families begin another year together!

OREO BLAST IS COMING TO OH MY CUPCAKES! Our first EFA+ & Oh My Cupcakes student creation of the year is ready for its big debut! Oreo Blast is an Oreo cupcake topped with vanilla frosting, Oreo crumbles, and black sprinkles. 🤍🖤 Oreo Blast will be available at BOTH Oh My Cupcakes locations September 28–October 3! ✨ EFA+ Celebrates Dolly! ✨ We’re celebrating the one and only Dolly Parton, a legendary singer, songwriter, actress, and champion of children and literacy! In honor of Dolly and one of our EFA+ favorites, “Nine to Five,” we’re having a Dolly inspired Dress Up Day on Friday, September 25! ✨ Wear something that SPARKLES 📚 Dress as your favorite BOOK CHARACTER 💖 Or just add a little Dolly-style flair to your day! Dolly’s Imagination Library has put millions of books into the hands of children, including our own EFA+ students, and we think that’s worth celebrating. 🔥 Learning how to stay safe! Our EFA+ 3rd graders visited the Fire Safety House this week to practice important fire safety skills, including how to get out safely in an emergency. A great hands on learning experience!

🎯 Backyard games in PE! Our students are learning a new game called Flabocce. It offers a fun twist that combines the skills of Frisbee with traditional bocce! Working in teams, students practice throwing, aiming, and strategy while keeping a running point total for their group. It’s a great way to get moving, work together, and have some fun along the way! 🥏

Our kindergarteners practiced their cutting and gluing skills while creating colorful shaggy dogs! ✂️🐶 Students carefully cut and glued strips of paper to create their dog’s fur, then added details like a nose and collar. They finished their projects by designing a dog house to complement their colorful pups. 🎨🏠 We love seeing the creativity and careful craftsmanship our youngest artists bring to the art room!

🍂 The EFA+ Fall Festival is coming! 🍂 Join us Friday, September 25 from 5:30–7:30 PM on the playground for an evening of fun, games, and activities for the whole family! Here are a few important dates and reminders to get you ready: 🏫 OPEN HOUSE — August 25 | 4:00–6:00 PM Stop by anytime between 4:00 and 6:00 to visit your child’s classroom and meet their teacher! While you’re here, feel free to explore the school and stop in to say hello to our arts/specials teachers and additional services staff. Our office will also be open if you have questions or need to drop off paperwork. 🎒 FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL — August 27 The first day of the new school year is Thursday, August 27! ☀️ Breakfast begins at 7:30 AM for students who need it. 🚗 Regular student drop-off begins at 7:45 AM. 🔔 The instructional day officially begins at 8:00 AM. 🏠 Dismissal is at 2:45 PM.
